for gorgeous prom gals
- Buy or rent a gently used gown
- Add gorgeous inexpensive bling for a glamorous look
- Enhance your look with satin gloves that match your gown
- Skip the expensive shoes (its all about the gown anyway!)
- Instead of a clutch, use a toy holster or garter on your upper thigh to hold lipgloss, money clip, slim camera, etc.
- Use silk flowers for hand-made boutonniere as keepsake
- Don’t be afraid to rework a used gown, i.e. remove sleeves, add underlayer (or outerlayer!) of tulle for fullness, add faux pearls or crystals in strategic locations or add your grandmother’s favorite vintage brooche, remove straps and add boning (a good seamstress can help!), replace boring straps with hand-made crystal or pearl straps
